Unwanted

By Toby Jennings

I feel like someone else, has a hold of my chest.
Like they’ve gripped onto my heart,
and won’t let go.
I chisel forward, though the bumps and rocks still blunt me.
I feel a tiny pin hole in my leg,
slowly draining the life out of me.

Thoughts come and go,
Feelings tend to show.
When I feel unwanted,
I feel like I’m haunted.

I still get down,
When someone let’s me go.
Just like a bug, I fade into the surrounds.
Torment, twisting, always listening,
To what others have found.
I feel like my hope has vanished, off into the distance.

Thoughts come and go,
Feelings tend to show.
When I feel unwanted,
I feel like I’m haunted.

I must put,
One foot after the other,
For I know what is best.
And I now know, that I just needed a little rest.
