Australian Cocktail Month 2022

By Laura Monaghan

Dry July may be on the horizon, but Margherita May is here! So let the fun beGIN!

Australian Cocktail Month is a month-long event in May featuring discounts on delicious cocktails at 145 great bars across 12 cities. This event is all about supporting local bars, bartenders, and spirit makers…and having a good time along the way.

Don’t drink? No worries! Australian Cocktail Month has you covered. Each bar has a curated menu of non-alcoholic and low-alcoholic beverages for you to choose from.

Here in Canberra, popular bars and venues such as Molly, Zaab, High Jinks, Volstead Repeal and more are getting involved. Check them out:

Molly is a prohibition era speakeasy bar with a focus on classic cocktails and whisky, featuring live jazz four nights a week.

Zaab translates to delicious and spicy in Lao and Thai respectively, the fusion of traditional flavour with modern technique to create unforgettable cuisine.

High Jinks, meaning ‘Rambunctious fun’ – we’re the neighbourhood bar that dishes out good ol’ fashion hospitality and creative drinks to a backdrop of Rockabilly tunes.

Volstead Repeal is a warm and intimate venue located in Braddon, the centre of Canberra’s most happening nightlife district.

There’s no need to worry about trying to work your schedule around a one-off date because each bar and venue will run based on their own opening hours. However, you can keep updated with any new events by following @australian_cocktail_month on Instagram.

To get involved with this awesome exclusive event pick up your Australian Cocktail Month ticket for only $20 plus a small booking fee.
