SRC Newsletter – November & December 2023 Edition

Hello, and welcome to the November & December 2023 edition of the SRC Newsletter. As the year comes to a close, we have some exciting updates to share with you about the University of Canberra Student Representative Council (UCSRC). Here's what has been happening:
Announcement of the New SRC:
We are thrilled to see that the 2024 SRC has been announced, who will officially start their term at the beginning of 2024. These dedicated individuals are ready to represent your interests and make a positive impact on the UC community.
Alumni Event:
The SRC hosted a special Alumni event, bringing together past members of the SRC to connect with current and incoming members. This gathering provided an excellent opportunity to share experiences, insights, and build a strong sense of community among all SRC generations.
EOI for Endorsed SRC Members:
We advertised expressions of interest (EOI) for endorsed SRC members, and we are delighted to report that more than 10 positions have already been filled. The incoming SRC will soon complete the roster, ensuring a diverse and representative team for the year ahead.
Induction for Incoming SRC:
The current SRC has been hard at work, diligently preparing to welcome and induct the incoming SRC members. This ensures a smooth transition and enables the new team to hit the ground running in 2024.
Curieux Magazine Approval:
We are pleased to inform you that the final edition of the Curieux Magazine, “Best of Curieux”, for this year has been approved for printing. This magazine serves as a platform for student voices, creativity, and expression, and we can't wait for you to enjoy it.
Warmest Wishes for the Holidays:
As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a joyful New Year. We hope you have a well-deserved break and return in 2024 refreshed and ready for new adventures.
Farewell from the 2023 SRC:
Lastly, the 2023 SRC would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all UC students for your support, engagement, and collaboration throughout the year. It has been an incredible journey serving you, and we are confident that the incoming SRC will continue the tradition of advocating for your needs and aspirations.
We encourage you to stay connected with the SRC during the break and into the new year. Your ideas, feedback, and participation are invaluable in shaping the future of the UC community.
